While using V.A.T.S., the otherwise real-time combat is paused. The Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System, or V.A.T.S., is an active pause combat system implemented in the game. last time i've played it was in the month before f4 launched, and i hadn't noticed a single bug (besides of some graphical npc bugs), but more bugs in f3.Main article: Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System i had 1 or 2 -noticeable- bugs and a few freezes at the beginning, but there were no issues after an early patch (before all dlcs came out) i played hundreds of hours on 360 without real problems. Last time I played on console I did 2 of the dlc and the game would no longer run for more than 10 minutes after that. Xbox 360 might be more stable to start with, but you can't do a full play through with all dlcs because the game becomes so choppy and freeze up that you have to restart the system every 10 minutes in order to keep playing. Originally posted by DessIntress:well, go to the mod-page and read the description. I'm mostly concerned about the 4G though. I'm kind of left in the dark how to get this all to work. Sooo for a guy who is trying to use old mods on an old game on all new programs and systems. All the tutorials are using older operating systerms and programs that all need to get patched. And it would appear that the orginal authors stopped updating their mods and or never bothered to make a new one. I have no idea how to use it, and furthermore - all the recent comments (2016-2017) seem to be complaints about compatibility issues with the new Windows OS and New Nexus Mod Manager. Ini files to activate mods on Nexus Mod Manager.Buuut in no tutorial does it ask me to do this for Fallout New Vegas? Is it not needed to activate New vegas mods?Īnother concern being the Fallout Mod Manager which I was also recommended to download. Can the same be said for Valve's Ultimate Edition? I was told that the version of Fallout NV Ultimate Edition came as a 4G. But I can't seem to find the answer as to how to run both at the same time.

Problem is, the script extender seems to be recommanded for the heavy mods but so is the 4G memory mod. I've also been told to download the Fallout NV 4G Mod and use that to start up my game instead of the ladder. Modding on Fallout New Vegas is seemingly becoming a vicious circle in my persuit to get these old mods running.įrom being told to get the New Vegas Script Extender and using that to start up my game instead of the orginal startup.
